This portrait project is about the human being as a fashion victim. Italy is the country of fashion and Italians are more or less all addicted to the fashion industry. This industry is one of the biggest commercial markets in this country and we are aware of this fact in public spaces all the time – it is visible. The portraits were made during a fashion fair, called „Pitti Uomo“in Florence/Italy. The photographed people created their own identity with this strange approach to present themselves as a kind of „fashion models“, ready for the catwalk. The result is sometimes scary and in the same moment it is funny. The exhibitionistic self-confidence of each of them made it possible that both – me as the photographer and the person in front of me – enjoyed it a lot to take this pictures.
